Hectic Weekends

That weekend in hot mid-April was just a hectic one. A housewive-like act with a few colleagues for that long-hour HK series marathon was more to a get-together than appetite-filling for some made-up plots. That took 10 hours out of that peaceful Saturday. Late evening, I got a call to help someone up in the office to finish up a self-prototyping PCB board. Then I was just in time before picking up my sister from the jetty back to her hostel that night.

Muka Head and Lighthouse were just mysterious enough for me that I couldnt resist the temptation to join a group of 11 other collegues. Waking up 6am in the Sunday morning, we tottered through the dense woods just by the seaside and occasionally reached some patches of white sandy beaches before finally made our way up to the lighthouse. I reached the top second, behind frequent jungle-trekker KC, and surprisingly May made it just behind us to make it half an hour ahead of the others. The view from the top of the lighthouse was simply soul-pacifying.

I think this looks like beaches in Lake Tahoe. Just that it's not as azure probably the sun wasn't high up.

Unadulterated smile of the boy leading us up the lighthouse.

Serene, disturbed only by a few eagles dotting the skyline majestically

The weekdays following that were overwhelming as well. A dinner at DOME with old high school frens (that was when I got to know that Daniel is a brother of a fren in the calss next door, and I had had a talk with that Malaysian Idol 9 years ago in a camp), farewell for yet another KakiMakan fren WT for his leaving for KL and promotion treat from the latest specialist engineer in the office packed the week. It was probably a little too much for a 26-to-27yo single guy that my housemates started to guess that I might be seeing someone. Ha. ha. But nope.

Think I gotta make up what I left behind at work starting tomorrow.
